ONLINE e-PAN card FREE OF COST Now new Permanent Account Number ( PAN ) can get online free of cost. Income Tax department has made very easy process to get PAN in India. No need to send documents through courier to Pune Office for making the PAN Card. Because in the current time in India, all identity has been linked with Aadhaar number. And everybody has updated there phone numbers in Aadhaar. Now for new PAN, the KYC will made by Aadhaar based OTP received on mobile number, which is updated in Aadhaar Card. The process is:- People need to go to Income tax e-filling site :-   After reaching on this site, just follow the instructions and read the guidelines to apply the New e-PAN card. After submitting the application, you will get your PAN withing 15 – 20 minutes at your given mail ID. The PAN will be in PDG password protected file. And your password will be your date of birth like 02021990. When your file will open then you will able to see your Digitally signed e-PAN card.

Note :- Due to Lockdown , the due date of TDS return of 4th Quarter F.Y. 2019-20 has been extended from 31.05.2020 to 30.06.2020.

Example :- Suppose you have deducted the TDS on 01.01.2020 { 10000 x 10/100 = 1000 } And you have deposited the TDS Rs. 1,000 on 15.03.2020. Which means the due date was 07.02.2020 but actual payment made on 15.03.2020.
So Interest will be :- Rs. 1,000 x 1.5 x 3 Months / 100 = 45/-
So TDS would be pay like :- TDS Rs. 1,000 + Interest 45/- = Total 145/-

Now we can change our TDS challan Heads through online facility, in which payments have been made. For rectification purpose. This is best facility to avoid the visits at Departments and Bank branches.
What we have to do for this :-
You need to go to Login at Traces Website :-


After Login:- Go to Statements/Payments  → Click on Request for OLTAS Challan Correction  → Checklist will come then click on proceed

Deductor will only be able to correct Financial Year, Major Head, Minor Head & Section code, TAN/PAN correction will be enabled soon.


 

Correction for Section Code 195 to other Section Codes or vice versa will process through Jurisdictional Assessing Offices approval.
